The United Democratic Movement said
it is alarmed at the outcomes of a recent audit into state-owned land.
The audit indicated that 80% of land
is privately owned.
UDM Secretary General Bongani Msomi said this all begs the question of how much land is owned by Black South Africans and foreigners.
Msomi said that the 1913 land act
statuesque has not been changed although freedom was declared in 1994 it is
almost 20 years down the line.
“It is alarming that the ANC
government is willing to put such important policies in place without facts, as
they do not know the racial fractions of land ownership, current population
register no longer included the race,” added Msomi.
He also said that it is evident that the ANC government has failed the nation dismally.
