South African Consumer Activist Ina Wilken says consumers are struggling with the high prices of food, electricity and fuel this winter.
Wilken said that citizens are feeling a slight relief after the drop in the fuel price the last two months but this trend transferring to food prices drops does not seem to be on the cards.
Wilken says consumers have to be savvy and find ways to save in a tough economy.
She added that retailers have to realize that without the consumers there would not be any business.
