The death toll has increased to 26 following the fatal accident between a train and a truck in Mpumalanga.
The truck was transporting workers from Hectorspruit and Malelane when it was hit by a coal train at a railway crossing.
The driver of the truck is currently being detained.
He will appear in the Tonga Magistrates Court on Monday.
Many of the injured is still in hospital.
