Heavy snow fall have been reported between Beaufort West and Three Sisters, Three Sisters and Richmond, Three Sisters and Victoria West and Beaufort West and Loxton.
The Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa said due to the snowfall the roads has been closed.
He added that they are blocking all traffic using the N1 towards Johannesburg and Beaufort.
Africa said the road will be closed until it is safe to open them to the public again.
He added that they will not be opening the road in the next few hours due to the white blanket of snow covering the roads.
