The National Youth Development Agency together with the Greater Board Disabled Sports Club, the City of Cape and the provincial department of sport has been conducting a four week training session for wheel-chair bound basket ball players from the Cape Flats.

The chairperson of the NYDA in the Western Cape Galiep Essop said they are providing the beneficiaries with six life skill modules as part of the coaching clinics.

The coaching clinics will end tomorrow with a certificate ceremony. Essop explains says the programme benefited about 80 youth from basketball clubs in the Western Cape area.

The clubs consist of 20 clubs from Khayelitsha, Mitchells Plain, Ravensmead and Delft.
