The Environmental Affairs Department could withdraw its funding from Indalo Eyethu.

Indalo Eyethu is the South Africa’s largest environmental awareness trust.

Indalo Yethu was set up to fund nature conservation and healthy living programmes across the country.

Environmental Affairs Department Spokesperson Albi Modise says Indalo Yethu has failed to become a stand-alone entity, as was predicted when it was established two years ago.

Modise further said that the Department had never intended to fund the operations of Indalo Yethu.
