The National Union of Mine Workers (NUM) has declared a wage dispute against mining company Vametco-Evraz.
The company mines vanadium nitroven in Rustenburg.
NUM’s national spokesperson Elias Mfikoe said currently the company is offering 7, 5%.
He added that as a union they are at 12, 5%.
Mfikoe said the company is offering a housing allowance of R1200 and they are demanding R1500.
