Rock fall on the N2 injures 12 people

Twelve people sustained injuries due to a rock fall on the N2 at Sir Lowry`s Pass.

The incident occurred late on Sunday.

Paramedics and rescue services were called to the scene after rocks fell on two cars that were travelling on the N2.

ER24`s Werner Vermaak said that six children and six adults were found with only minor injuries.

Vermaak said that they were treated on the scene for scrapes and bruises.

The road remains closed pending police investigation.
