Several deaths have been caused by rain and snow across the country.
Major disruption has also been caused on the roads.
The Road Traffic Management Centre says three people were killed and two were injured in an accident between Jamestown and Queenstown in the Eastern Cape.
A bus carrying 60 passengers got stuck in the snow near Three Sisters in the Karoo.
In and around Beaufort West many motorists were also trapped by snow.
