Premier Helen Zille has come under fire from youth organisations such as the ANC Youth League and the Congress of South African Student Association for allegedly ignoring youth issues.
More than one thousand young people on Thursday voiced their concerns outside the provincial legislature.
Zille spokesperson Zak Mbhele says the premier takes great concern over youth issues.
Mbhele added that issues that are of crucial importance to the youth such as job creation and skills development are central to the Western Cape Government agenda.
