President Jacob Zuma has said that many South Africans do not know how democracy works.
Zuma said that democracy is complex and in protests one will find comrades who do not understand it.
During an address to the South African Communist Party delegates at their national conference, Zuma questioned whether protesters had the right to destroy property.
He has also echoed the call of Cosatu for radical change in the economy of SA.
