The Department of Women, Children and People with Disabilities has responded to a statement released by the Democratic Alliance.

The DA has laid a complaint with the Public Protector that the department is failing to deliver on its mandate.

Department spokesperson Cornelius Tanana Monama said that the allegations are not true.

He added that they are hard at work to coordinate programmes and to ensure that the needs of women, children and people with disabilities are met.
