The father of murdered honeymoon bride Anni Dewani testified that a watch and cellphone exhibited in court as evidence belonged to his daughter.
Vinod Hindocha took to the stand for the first time in the Western Cape High Court in the trial of Xolile Mngeni who is accused of killing Dewani in an allegedly staged hijacking in Cape Town in 2010.
State advocate Adrian Mopp told the court her father was being called because Dewani’s identity was being disputed.
It is alleged that a foreign national is paying alleged triggerman Xolile Mngeni’s legal team.
