Sactwu members vote in favour of strike

The Southern African Clothing Textile Workers Unions wage strike ballot in the clothing sector has covered over 23 000 workers employed in 199 factories.

The SACTWU’s Northern Branch in KZN last Friday became the first out the union`s 30 branches to complete the ballot. 

Dennis Maluleka said that they started by releasing the preliminary results.

Maluleka added that ballot workers that have voted in favour of the strike is 91%.
