Early this morning a shootout between police and suspected robbers broke out in Salt River .
The incident occurred at the corners of Greatmore Road Vicotria Road
Four suspects entered the Deli Pies Shop at the corner of Greatmore Road
The patrolling police spotted the commotion and went to investigate then a shootout started.
Police Spokesperson November Filander said all four suspects were arrested.
Filander added that a 9mm pistol was recovered as well as a supposedly getaway vehicle.
The suspects will appear at the Cape Town Magistrate court on charges of attempted robbery,attempted murder and illegal possession of a fire arm.
