Western Cape recognized as leading in road safety

The Road Traffic Management Corporation on Monday in Parliament said that the Western Cape leads all the other provinces in road safety.

 RTMC’s CEO Collins Letsoalo said the Province also leads in the high standard of its roads. 

Members of Parliament heard that the Western Cape is the only province in the country that has traffic police operating 24/7. 

Western Cape Department of Transport and Public Works Spokesperson Siphesihle Dube said that it shows that the hard work that they have done in ensuring that the roads are safe is paying off.

Dube added that the Department is open to share the information they have, that has led to them being recognised as the leading province in road safety.
