Not only has the severe Cape storm  resulted in the death of six people, it left 9 000 households waterlogged, nearly 30 000 people in need of aid but has now also  resulted in 80 bikers stuck in Sutherland due to the heavy snow.

The bikers were over the weekend attending the 10th annual Winter Run sleep over which was hosted by Scattered Links.

The over 80 bikers are now stuck in Sutherland due to 10cm thick snow.

2 bikers have already been sent to hospital for treatment due to the need of chronic medicine.  The bikers are also running out of finance.

Scattered Links Gerhard van den Bergh said luckily they are not in shortage of food, the hotel is looking after them but the financial burden on them is starting to stress them out.

“Apparently tonight there is more thunder coming and we might sit here until Friday, so any help will do,” added  van den Bergh.
