The Western Cape Traffic Services over the weekend arrested 10 motorists for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Motorists have been urged to drive with caution as the cold front continues today.

Traffic officers have been placed on high alert to monitor the province roads.

Ministerial Spokesperson Greg Wagner said following the bad weather that the Western Cape has experienced this weekend, with more bad weather expected this week, the Western Cape Government’s Traffic Chief Kenny Africa has urged all motorists to please drive responsibly, to buckle up, switch on their headlights, maintain a safe following distance, observe the road rules and most importantly be patient while driving on the Western Cape’s roads.
