The Democratic Alliance today said the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Maite Nkoana-Mashabane must provide clarity on reports that cabinet has rejected the National Development Plan’s chapter on South Africa’s foreign policy and that it has been redrafted.

Cabinet is said not to be happy with certain criticisms and recommendations made in the NDP.

DA MP of International Relations and Cooperation Ian Davidson said they have not written any policy.

Davidson added that the National Development Plan has been praised as the blue-print for South Africa’s growth and development.

Davidson further added that Cabinet cannot be allowed to change South Africa’s 30 year plan for our country because it is critical of government’s failures.
