The Western Cape Disaster Risk Management is monitoring the effects of the heavy rainfall over the weekend in the province.

All disaster risk management officials are on high alert especially in informal settlements as they were the hardest hit.

Chief Director of the Provincial Disaster Risk Management Centre Colin Deiner said weather reports are being monitored and necessary relief operations are available.

Deiner added that we are on contact with Disaster Management Centre’s to update or any request of assistance.
