The Groot Marico Police near Zeerust
are investigating a culpable homicide case.
This is after an unknown pedestrian
was hit by a taxi on Monday.
It is believed that the man was
crossing the road on the N4 when a taxi hit him.
After the accident the driver of the
taxi immediately alerted police but when emergency services arrived the man had
already died on the scene.
Captain Pelonomi Makau said the man
was wearing long brown trousers, a black and blue t-shirt, khaki sneakers and a
khaki cap on.
“Police appeal to anybody that has a
missing person who matches the description or who can assist in locating the
family of the deceased to call Detective-Constable Congwani at 083 581 4941
for assistance” Makau added.
