The Democratic Alliance said it is pleased that Parliaments Labour committee voted against amendments to the Labour Relations Act.

The DA MP of Labour Sej Motau said they will continue to push for the democratization of South Africa’s labour relations framework.

Motau said the DA is relieved that the ANC has backtracked on their position that would have banned labour broking.

“We are still concerned that this would have a serious negative impact on the employment situation, but we will see next week when we vote on the Bill if they will still hold that position” Motau added.
