Police arrest two people in Msinga

Pietermaritzburg Public Order Police conducted a crime intelligence driven operation at two homesteads with illegal firearms in Msinga.

Police arrested two suspects after they were found in possession of five firearms and 28 live rounds of ammunition. 

Colonel Jay Naicker said they arrested 46year old women she was found in possession of, she was found in possession of an AK47 riffle, two 303 riffles as well as 100kgs if dagga  at the first homestead.

“At the second homestead they arrested a 50 year old man was arrested, he was found in possession of 303 riffle as well as a 9 millimetre pistol,” added Naicker.

Naicker said that all the suspects were charged for being in possession of illegal firearms, ammunition and as well as dagga and they are expected to appear in the Msinga Magistrates court soon.
