SACP: DA has failed to provide for the poor

The South African Communist Party in the Cape Metro said it is concerned about the recent floods in Cape Town and the fact that more than 30 000 households have been affected.

SACP said the DA has failed to provide for the poor communities with housing, roads, and storm water systems.

SACP’s Deputy District Secretary Sonwabile Ngxiza said that it is unfortunate that these communities have to be subjected to these kind of treatment in a democratic dispensation.

“As the communist part we are continuously engaging communities to say they must reject the DA and they must reject come next years election and come 2016 local government elections,” said Ngxiza.

He furthermore added that they must install a government of the people and not a government that is going to neglect the interest of the poor, who are living in shacks, in informal settlements, in flood Plains around the Cape Metro, without any infrastructure, without any support without any decent houses.
