ACDP welcomes investigation into NEF CEO

The African Christian Democratic Party has welcomed the forensic investigation into National Empowerment Fund CEO Philiswe Mthethwa.

It is alleged that Mthethwa has been involved in fraud and corruption.
It has been reported that the Department of Trade and Industry received an anonymous tip-off about the allegations.

ACDP Parliamentary Leader Wayne Thring said an additional R10 million or so has been given to the brother of the CEO of the NEF Philiswe Mthethwa and the money has not been returned.

Thring added that this is nepotism and should never be happening.  The fact that we have funds being allocated to a close relative is another indication that something is wrong in the disbursement of funds coming from national level.
