A man in possession of child pornography arrested

A 39-year-old KwaZulu Natal man has been granted bail of one-thousand-Rand after he was arrested in possession of a memory stick with child pornography.

The investigation into the man started last year August. He has been charged for possession of child pornography and contravening the Film and Publications Act.

Police Spokesperson Thulani Zwane says the case was remanded until the 20^th May for further investigation and he was relieved on R1000 rand bail.

Zwane said it is alleged that the man was keeping his pornographic material in his house and police obtained a search warrant and they search his house in Kloof area where they found his material.

As warrant of arrest was issued and granted by the court, then he was arrested, Zwane added.
