COPE concerned by the high levels of unemployment

The Congress of the People has raised its concern regarding the high levels of unemployment and poverty.

COPE is calling on government to make food security a high priority for this country.

Last year August government gazette a policy that outlined the country’s attempts to deal with hunger and food insecurity.

COPE Spokesperson Dennis Bloem said they are calling on government to al least look at the price of bread, it should be lowered to at least R8.00 or less and maybe look at the price of maize meal for the poor to at least have something to eat.
