Minister Pandor planning to create a forum to strengthen HIV research

Minister of Science and Technology Naledi Pandor said that a forum to strengthen HIV research in the African continent will be formed.

This follows a meeting the minister conducted with the South African National Aids Council and the Medical Research Council in Cape Town.

 Minister Pandor said the meeting also looked at how research plans would contribute to the country’s long-term twenty-year vision.

Ministerial Spokesperson Lunga Ngqengelele said the department of Science and Technology is planning to create a forum to strengthen HIV research not only in South Africa but throughout the African continent,
