Shooting near Cape Town International Airport left one dead

Cape Town police are currently investigating a shooting incident which happened outside the Cape Town International Airport this afternoon.

It is alleged that a man was shot dead during a robbery when a gang tried to rob a cigarette vehicle at the BP Garage.

Police Spokesperson FC van Wyk says the shooting happened between the suspects and the security officers.

He says one of the suspects was fatally wounded and one was injured and the other fled the scene and is still at large. We are looking for him.

Van Wyk says our members is still on the scene to gather more information. We opened cases of attempted robbery and an inquest for further investigation.
