Two dead in a truck and car collision

An accident this morning left two people dead after truck and a car collided at the intersection of the M7 and N2 this morning.

It is believed that the truck was driving towards Durban and collided with the vehicle across the intersection.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said when they arrived at the scene they found that the truck had veered off of the road and went up an embankment and crashed into the bridge.

Botha added that the truck driver was trapped in the twisted frame of his vehicle and tragically died on scene , as well as the of the car tragically died due to the extensive injuries he had sustained.

Exact details to the cause of the collision will remain the subject of a police investigation.
