Two suspects arrested for stolen property in Durban

Two people have been arrested in Durban for suspected stolen property. 

Police Spokesperson Thulani Zwane said the members gave chase to a suspicious VW Polo with four occupants.

The arrested suspects are aged 31 and 36 years old.

Two suspects were arrested while the other two escaped on foot. 

The motor vehicle was recovered with suspected stolen property.

Zwane reported that the suspects fired shots towards the police during the pursuit, the police then called for backup. 

The Inanda crime intelligence came for assistance and the vehicle was eventually cornered at the J section in Kwa Mashu.

Two suspects are still on the run Zwane added.
