Delft police are investigating murder and suicide cases after the bodies of a couple were found in a house in Rose Street, Belhar. yesterday.
24 year old Lucinda Samson was found lying on her back in a bedroom strangled to death while her 34 year old boyfriend Nicolas Slambee found hanging from an electrical cord, tied around his neck in a dinning room.
Slambee’s mother contacted the police after receiving a text message from her late son, saying “I am sorry for what I did”.
Police spokesperson Captain Joe Wilson said they were both declared dead on the scene.
“We registered case dockets of murder and an inquest into the death of Slambee,” added Captain Wilson.
Samson was living with her parents in Delft and 9 month old baby is left without a mother.
