Convicted drug lord Glenn Agliotti says he has heard the story that former president Nelson Mandela’s tailor Yusuf Surtee allegedly paid former police informant Paul Stemmet to plant drugs at the Cape Town home of a person Surtee had a problem with.
Former police commissioner Jackie Selebi’s senior counsel Jaap Cilliers brought up the allegation in the South Gauteng High Court during Agliotti’s cross-examination today.
Cilliers was questioning Agliotti on his alleged involvement in underground activities.Agliotti is quoted as saying he had no personal knowledge of the alleged scandal.
