Concerns over the unfilled vacant position of a Nurse Scientist at a low percent of nurses employed by the World Health Organisation.

These were some of the issues raised at the concluded International Council of Nurses Congress in Australia.

The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa said the number of nurses in key decision making positions at the WHO has decreased over the past 10 years.

Denosa’s Spokesperson Sibongile Delihlazo said nurses are the majority of health care professionals in any health system around the world, so any nursing issue that is being addressed leads to more positive and quality healthcare.
