Six deaths in three separate incidents over the weekend

In three separate incident during the weekend six people have died, amongst them a three year old. A 19 year old driver has been arrested following a fatal crush from drinking and driving. It is alleged on Sunday at 5:30 in the morning, the family members were driving two separate vehicles, when the accident with another vehicle took place. Resulting in the death of four family members aged between three and 32 years old, meanwhile the other four sustained serious injuries and reside in the hospital. The teen is to appear in court today, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

On a different accident on Saturday night, a driver was killed in another crash on the R33, Greytown Road, when a taxi and a bakkie were involved in a collision.

Meanwhile Gwala said that a case of culpable homicide was being investigated by Nyoni SAPS. Of an accident that took place on Friday, where three vehicles were involved in a collision on the N2 freeway. A 39-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene, while others sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for medical attention.
