Case postponed for man accused of killing 8-year-old Tazne van Wyk

The case against the man who is accused of killing eight-year-old Tazne van Wyk has been postponed.

Moyhdian Pangarker appeared in the Western Cape High Court on Monday.

Van Wyk disappeared from her residence Elsies River in February 2020. Her body was found in a stormwater drain outside Worcester about two weeks later.

Pangarker was arrested in Cradock, Eastern Cape. He faces 20 charges including kidnapping and murder of van Wyk, 11 counts of rape, three counts of common assault, three counts of sexual assault, two counts of kidnapping,  incest and desecrating a corpse.

The case was postponed to Wednesday to give the accused’s new lawyer time to consult.
