The Democratic Alliance has called on the Minister of Health Aaron Motsoaledi to explain the shortage of hospital equipment.

It alleged that Limpopo and Gauteng are the two provinces that are experiencing widespread shortage.

DA Shadow Minister of Health Patricia Kopane said a hospital in Gauteng is also experiencing severe problems regarding medical equipment.

She added that the Natalspruit Hospital only CAT scanner has been out of service and the scanner at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital has also been out of service for a very long time.
