The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa has fired back at the DA’s recent decision that affects the people within the Roodepoort area.
The DA said The Princess Informal settlement, mainly occupied by lower income families,lowers the property value of other areas close to the informal settlement.
Numsa’s Sizwe Dlamini says squatter dwellers cannot always be told squatter camps can’t be next to be places that will affect the property of a certain race group.
He says the situation that we find ourselves in was the creation of the apartheid system.
