Reports has shown that about 100 residents of Nyanga East have been without water for two years, but are still receiving water bills.
Mayoral Committee Member for Utility Services Shehaam Sims said that due to vandalism to the meters, this has been the cause for households in Nyanga not having water.
She said recently the matter has been brought to the City’s attention and they found the meters have been vandalised.
Sims added that this is not the first time it happened and it happened before the beneficiaries moved into the houses in December 2010 and the meters were replaced.
She said unbeknown to the City the meters were vandalised again.
