Western Cape Premier Helen Zille has written a second letter to President Jacob Zuma after she received a reply from the president on her first letter.

The premier again urged the president to bring in the army while the ministers are still assessing the situation.

Zille’s spokesperson Zak Mbhele said in the reply the president said that he is requesting the minister of police and the minister of defence to compile assessment reports.

He added that the premier has urged the president to view the matter in a very grave light.
