August is celebrated as the Women`s Month in South Africa.

Salomé van Coller-Peter of the University of Stellenbosch’s Business School said that the managerial skills of women need to be nurtured to put them on an even playing field to men.

She also said that men and women hold different skill sets and management styles but are both equally important for business success.

Van Coller-Peter further said that business culture needs to change for women to be really empowered.

She added that women have a very high sense of emotional intelligence and they possess very strong relationship building capacity.
