The Department of Labour on Monday launched its uFiling online service in a bid to reduce long queues at centres across South Africa.

The online service aims to make it easier for bosses to confirm the status of their employees, without physically approaching labour department offices.

Officials said the system will educate employees about the importance and benefits of Unemployment Insurance Fund.

Department Spokesperson Vusi Mnisi said the system will hopefully phase out manual problems.
