The South African Dental Association is very concerned about the new tariff guidelines set by the Health Professions Council of South Africa.

SADA CEO Maretha Smit says the tariffs are far lower than the real cost of running a dental business.

She adds that the public needs to understand the negative impact the new guidelines will have on the provision of dental services.

She also said they are incredibly upset because the tariffs are 30 to 40 percent lower than what was approved.
