A police officer was in the earlier hours of this morning shot dead in his home in Makaza.
Police's November Filander said three suspects entered the officer’s house before shooting.
Several items including two cellphones were stolen during the shooting.
The police officer who has been identified as Yanga Tshefu died in hospital.
Filander added that the suspects are still at large and anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
