The African National Congress has welcomed the naming of individuals who have been convicted of defrauding departments, institutions and municipalities.
Justice Minister Jeff Radebe on Sunday released the names of 42 convicted fraudsters.
The justice minister said that was just the beginning as 3000 more names are set to follow.
ANC Spokesperson Jackson Mthembu said they believe that the deed will go a long way in their fight against corruption and criminality.
“It goes a long way in ensuring that the public purse is not defrauded and therefore makes it impossible to deliver the required services to our people” Mthembu added.
