The Democratic Alliance has called on the Department of International Relations and Cooperation to either confirm or deny reports that former Central African Republic President Francois Bozize is coming to the country.

The former CAR President was last seen on South African soil just days before he was ousted in a coup that put Michel Djotodia at the helm in Bangui.

DA MP of International Relations and Cooperation Ian Davidson said Bozize is a fugitive from justice, there is a warrant for his arrest in his country.

Davidson further said if he is in the country then he is here on tax payers` expense and he needs to be returned into his country because South Africa needs to have a new relationship with the country.
