On Wednesday, the South African Policing Union said they intended applying for a court interdict to prevent 11 officers from being transferred from the OR Tambo International Airport head office in Johannesburg .
Sapu General Secretary Oscar Skommere said the proposed transfer comes after the 11 lieutenant-colonels recorded complaints against the SA Police Services.
Skommere said Sapu, who represents the 11 officers, have engaged the SAPS and they were arrogant.
“We are taking this matter to court to interdict them, because these members have already put a grievance against the management as well as a memorandum which raising important issues that the SAPS has to attend at that work place.
“We are surprised to see them transferring those members instead of dealing with the problems raised by those members” Skommere added.
