South Africans urged to donate blood

The Western Cape Health Department has urged South Africans to donate blood, as today marks World Blood Donor Day. 

The department said the main message today is that we need more committed and regular blood donors.

 According to the Western Cape Blood Transfusion at present they have 67 000 regular blood donors.
