KZN: three life sentences handed down to rapist

A 30-year-old man was on Thursday convicted by the Camperdown Regional Court to three life imprisonment for three counts of rape.

It is alleged that the man raped a 9-year-old girl on three separate incidents in the month of May.

KwaZulu-Natal Police Spokesperson Thulani Zwane said the accused raped the victim on three different occasions.

Zwane added that the case of rape was opened through investigation the accused was and charged with rape.
