This year the Western Cape government will gather about thousands young people to have an opportunity to express themselves on issues that impact on their lives.

Western Cape MEC of Social Development Albert Fritz said they will use what the young people say at the conference to give effect to the youth strategy that government is rolling out in the province.

Ministerial Spokesperson Melany Kuhn said June 16 has traditionally been associated with dialogues, discussions, conferences, or engagements with young people, where government gets young people together in a venue and talks to them about its plans to make life better for the leaders of tomorrow.

Kuhn added that the Western Cape government have been making plans for the youth development programmes even making some of the services free.
